The time is NOW for honest, hardworking mortgage brokers set themselves apart from the few bad actors who plague our industry! They hurt our reputations and our businesses and we can no longer afford to have them among us! 

Starting in March 2008, The Ohio Association of Mortgage Brokers (OAMB) and The National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) are introducing a new program that will restore confidence in our industry. It is called the Lending Integrity Seal of Approval. When displayed on a business card, advertisement or door front, it helps consumers identify NAMB mortgage brokers and loan officers who meet the industry’s highest standards for honesty, integrity, knowledge and professionalism. Fight back against those “bad apples” in your profession. Let consumers know that you believe in sound and ethical lending practices! 

As a current Professional or Loan Officer member I invite you to start displaying this seal as soon as possible. There is no fee to display the seal, but you must meet the following Lending Integrity Criteria for current Professional and Loan Officer members:

NAMB Professional and Loan Originator Members Only

Current State License or Registration

National Criminal Background Check

6 hrs/ yr Professional Education, including Ethics Training

Pledge to abide by NAMB’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Best Business Practices

Agree to Adhere to the NAMB Formal Ethics Grievance Review Process

 Our state licensure includes some of these requirements, which means you will not have to meet them again to display the seal. However, some of these criteria are new, and you will have to meet each of the requirements. The forms are listed on the website below.

Within weeks you will hear back from NAMB with instructions on logging onto the Lending Integrity website to download the Lending Integrity Seal and other materials that will help you promote your achievement to the public. These will include: Lending Integrity Seal (Resizeable), Business Card Template, Letter to Customers and Prospects, Generic Display Ads for Consumers, :30 and :60 Radio Spots with :15 tags, Lending Integrity Informational Video and Press Release Template.
